Lace Jumper — PDF Knitting Pattern #134

Great style that can be converted into many different textures, and here it is in a lace pattern. It has a Scandinavian look with a twist: because it is knitted on big needles, the openwork is bold rather than delicate. This one is knitted in Scandi Soft XL in putty. The front carries the lace, the back is worked in box stitch, and each sleeve has the lace panel down the centre and finishes in box stitch.

The lace uses two special twisted stitches, TWR and TWL, which cross without a cable needle. They are explained at the top of the pattern. The neckband is knitted up around the neck and worked in rib. As with all my patterns, please make a tension square first. There is a short guide to it in the PDF.

Construction - worked bottom up in pieces (front, back and two sleeves), then sewn together. 7 mm needles for the rib, 8 mm for the rest

Substituting yarn - any yarn that knits to 13 sts x 15 rows over 10 cm in stocking stitch
