Vera is fun to knit in drop stitch, which gives the fabric an open, airy look. The stitch is built from rows where you make a yarn over and then drop it on the following row, and the full sequence is written out on a separate page of the PDF so you can read it through before you cast on. The bell sleeves start with a wave pattern at the cuff, which has its own chart page.

The dress is worked in pieces (back, front and two sleeves) and sewn together, and the neckline is finished with a few rows of moss stitch. I always recommend making a tension square first, and there is a short guide to it at the back of the PDF.
