A chunky off-shoulder jumper knitted with three strands of yarn held together on 10 mm needles, with a wide neckline that sits off one or both shoulders. Six sizes fitting bust 78–124 cm. Instant PDF download.
Holding three strands together is what gives this jumper its weight and its colour. The sample mixes oatmeal, grey and coral so the fabric reads as one soft heathered shade rather than three separate yarns, and you can shift the whole mood by swapping a single strand. At 9 stitches to 10 cm it grows extremely fast — this is a weekend project rather than a winter one. The neckline is deliberately wide and finished on a smaller needle so it holds its shape while still slipping off the shoulder.
Good to know
- Construction – front, back and sleeves are knitted flat and sewn together, with a row of moss stitch at the start and 8 mm needles for the rib and the collar. Worked throughout with three strands held as one.
