Two pieces, two seams, no set-in sleeves — the shoulders and sleeves grow straight out of the body by casting on stitches at each side, which is why this knits up so quickly and hangs so softly. Both sleeve lengths are written out, so you can decide when you get there. The front is split at the centre for a short neck slit finished in garter stitch, and the side seams are left open for about 15 cm at the hem so it moves with you.

Good to know

• Construction – knitted in two pieces, front and back, in double moss stitch, with sleeve stitches cast on at each side. Joined at the shoulders and along the sleeves, with about 15 cm left open at each side hem.
• You will also need – 7 mm needles. The pattern is written for Scandi Cotton (100 g): 7–12 balls depending on size and sleeve length. Using another yarn? Any yarn that gives 16 sts to 10 cm in double moss stitch.
