About this pattern
Leaving off the rib is a deliberate choice here. The hem, cuffs and neckline are all left as knitted, so they curl softly and the whole sweater reads as relaxed rather than tailored — and it means nothing to pick up, nothing to cast off in pattern. The body is worked in the round in one piece to the armholes, markers at each side, then joined with the sleeves for the yoke, so the seaming at the end is minimal. In Scandi Wool it is warm enough for a winter evening and light enough to wear off one shoulder.
Good to know
- Construction – body worked in the round to the armhole with a marker at each side, sleeves worked separately and joined. Raw edges throughout — no rib at the hem, cuffs or neck.
- You will also need – 5 mm circular needles. The pattern is written for Scandi Wool (50 g): 9–14 balls depending on size. Using another yarn? Any yarn that knits to 17 sts × 22 rows over 10 cm in stocking stitch.
