Nova is knitted from the neck down in one piece, which means two things: you can try it on as you go, and when you cast off you are finished – no seams, nothing left to sew. It starts with the collar, a deep 2×2 rib that stands up against your neck, then the raglan increases shape the shoulders, each line framed by a narrow panel of purl stitches. Snö's shimmer shows best on plain stocking stitch, which is why the rest of the sweater stays quiet: long ribbed cuffs, a short ribbed hem, and a shape that works as well with wide jeans as with a skirt.

Good to know

• Construction – worked top down in the round on circular needles – collar, raglan yoke, then body and sleeves separately. No seams: weave in the ends and block.
• You will also need – 5 mm and 6 mm circular needles, plus double-pointed needles or a short circular for the sleeves. Snö comes in packs of 5 balls: 1 pack for S–XL, 2 packs for XXL–XXXL. Using another yarn? You need approx. 920–1,380 m of a yarn that knits to 15 sts × 19 rows over 10 cm in stocking stitch.
