Runa Icicle Sweater — PDF Knitting Pattern #145

A jumper with a graphic icicle texture across the front and a tall, soft collar, knitted in Snö on 6 mm needles. Includes a matching scarf in blackberry stitch. Six sizes, bust 96–150 cm. Instant PDF in English and Swedish.

Runa is named for the icicles on the front – long, uneven lines that catch the light. They are worked into plain stocking stitch from a chart, so the texture stands out without making the knitting heavy, and Snö's shimmer makes the whole thing look almost frozen. The collar is knitted straight up from the neck and left to fold as it likes, and moss stitch finishes the hems and cuffs. The pattern also includes a scarf in blackberry stitch, if you want the full set.

Good to know

• Construction – back, front and sleeves are knitted flat and sewn together. The icicle pattern is worked on the front from a chart; hems and cuffs are moss stitch. The collar is knitted on a short circular needle to 18–22 cm. The scarf is a separate pattern in the same PDF.
• You will also need – 6 mm needles and a short 6 mm circular needle for the collar. Snö comes in packs of 5 balls: 1 pack for S–L, 2 packs for XL–XXXL (the scarf needs extra yarn). Using another yarn? You need approx. 920–1,380 m of a yarn that knits to 15 sts × 20 rows over 10 cm in stocking stitch.
