About this pattern
No buttons, no buttonholes, no shaping to speak of — this is the cardigan you throw on over everything, and the pattern is as simple as the garment. Double moss stitch all the way through gives it a soft, textured surface that hides an uneven tension, and the front edges are finished with a row of crochet so there is no band to pick up. Three to five balls of Scandi Soft XL and a weekend. It works in every shade of the yarn card, which is why it turns up here in terracotta, wild rose, teal and chartreuse.
Good to know
- Construction – knitted back and forth in double moss stitch, bottom up in sections and sewn together at the end. The front edges and neckline are finished with a 7 mm crochet hook.
- You will also need – 6 mm needles and a 7 mm crochet hook. The pattern is written for Scandi Soft XL (100 g): 3–5 balls depending on size. Using another yarn? Any chunky yarn that knits to 16 sts × 19 rows over 10 cm in stocking stitch.
