About this pattern
Holding three strands together is what gives this jumper its weight and its colour. The sample mixes oatmeal, grey and coral so the fabric reads as one soft heathered shade rather than three separate yarns, and you can shift the whole mood by swapping a single strand. At 9 stitches to 10 cm it grows extremely fast — this is a weekend project rather than a winter one. The neckline is deliberately wide and finished on a smaller needle so it holds its shape while still slipping off the shoulder.
Good to know
- Construction – front, back and sleeves are knitted flat and sewn together, with a row of moss stitch at the start and 8 mm needles for the rib and the collar. Worked throughout with three strands held as one.
- You will also need – 10 mm needles, 8 mm needles for the rib and an 8 mm circular needle for the collar. The pattern is written for Anette Eriksson Jeans (50 g): 9–24 balls depending on size, split across your three colours. Using another yarn? Any combination that knits to 9 sts × 12 rows over 10 cm in stocking stitch.
- In the download – a 6-page PDF with the full pattern and tension tips. English only.
