Ingrid gives you two garments for the price of one. The jumper itself is a generous lace shape with 2×2 rib at the hem and sleeves gathered into a balloon, worked on 7 mm needles so the lace stays open and soft. The collar is knitted separately as a wide double moss stitch band and simply pulled on over the top — so the same jumper is a plain lace sweater one day and a full roll-neck the next. In Scandi Soft XL the lace holds its shape without any blocking fuss.

Good to know

• Construction – front, back and sleeves are knitted flat and sewn together, with 2×2 rib at the hem. The loose collar is a separate piece, cast on flat or worked in the round, 25–30 cm deep in double moss stitch.
• You will also need – 7 mm needles. The pattern is written for Scandi Soft XL (100 g): 5–8 balls depending on size, collar included. Using another yarn? Any chunky yarn that knits to 16 sts × 19 rows over 10 cm in stocking stitch on 7 mm.
