The length is what makes this one. At 78 to 88 cm it falls to mid-thigh, so it goes over leggings and boots in winter and works as a dress on its own the rest of the year. The body is double moss stitch with an open drop-stitch sequence running through it, which keeps the fabric light despite the length, and the sleeves flare gently to a wide cuff — knitted shorter in the larger sizes so the proportions stay right.

Good to know

• Construction – front, back and flared sleeves are knitted flat and sewn together, with four rows of double moss stitch at each cast-on edge. The 18-row pattern sequence is written out row by row.
• You will also need – 5 mm needles. The pattern is written for Anette Eriksson Jeans (50 g): 7–11 balls depending on size. Using another yarn? Any yarn that knits to 17 sts × 22 rows over 10 cm in stocking stitch — Scandi Cotton works well.
